Common questions
What is Fermented Organic Manure made from?
It is made by anaerobic fermentation of farm by-products such as press mud and cow dung at our Compressed Bio Gas plant. The process increases nutrient availability and stimulates soil microbial activity.
What does “Organic Carbon Enhancer” mean?
FOM was earlier classed as an organic fertilizer under the FCO 1985 guidelines. The 2025 amendment to the Fertilizer Control Order reclassified it as an Organic Carbon Enhancer, recognising its role in building soil organic carbon and long-term soil health.
How much do I need per acre?
For field crops and vegetables, 750 kg to 1 ton per acre as a basal dose. For horticulture and plantation crops, 0.5–3 kg per plant, or 1.2–1.5 tons per acre. Repeat every crop cycle, or as advised by your agronomist.
Does it help saline or alkaline soil?
Yes. FOM helps revitalize degraded, saline, alkaline or exhausted soils by adding organic carbon and humus and improving soil structure.
Is there a smaller pack for home gardens?
Yes. Sat-Prem Jaivik Khad is our Fermented Organic Manure in 5 kg and 10 kg bags, for flowers, pots and kitchen gardens.
